Our client is a leader in the insurance sector where the IT department plays a key role in the development of the activities. With new offices based in Brussels, our client is actively looking for a Freelance Insurance Test Analyst. This position includes testing and deeper analysis of defects.

Description

As Insurance Test Analyst, you will:

• Assess software quality through manual testing, functional testing, non-regression testing, regression testing
• Take responsibility for the test execution related to UAT (creating test cases, identifying, analysing and reporting bugs & glitches)
• Analysis of defects (calculation verification, root cause analysis…) and propose solutions

Detailed job-description:

• Design and execute test cases
• Collaborate with the test manager to develop effective strategies and test plans
• Analyse results of test execution, define severity and priority for each defect
• Prioritize the tests that need to be conducted
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects
• Report bugs and errors to development teams
• Support test strategy definition
• Analyse results of test execution (check Life Insurance calculations), define severity and priority for each defect
• Identify risks on the project and provide solutions
• Help troubleshoot issues
• Synchronisation with provider on defect resolution actions
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Depending on the experience on the project possibility to switch to an analysis activity after 1st phase of project

Your profile

• You have a proven experience as a Software Tester or similar role experience in project management and testing methodology
• Experience in Analysing requirements & test results
• Business Knowledge on:
• Group Life Insurance
• View on Operational processes (Policy Management & claims Management)
• Basic Actuarial knowledge
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks
• You have hands-on experience with all the Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
• You have experience with SPIRA or JIRA software
• Reporting & Communications skills
• Fluent in English & French
