Technical Manager

As Technical Manager with Destiny, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operations of its Experts Team.

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, reporting and overseeing technical issues that emerge from the Technical 2 line and from other departments within Dstny.

It is your responsibility to provide a clear framework and you’ll always keep the big picture in mind.

You are at the disposal of your team to group similar technical challenges and manage them from your technical point of view.

The aim of this role is to get the Team to cooperate in the best possible way in order to solve our most complex technical issues quickly and efficiently.

Specifically, you will :

  • Identify and optimize the technical expertise of each Engineer in your Team by bringing together the right knowledge.

  • Monitor which evolutions are taking place in the market and which additional training or upscaling is needed to stay that technologically one step ahead.

  • Ensuring that communication from the Technical Team is aligned with the other departments within the organization so that customer satisfaction is maintained.

  • You keep in mind the customer solution and that everyone pulls together to deliver a solution.

Profile

  • You are proficient in handling the most complex of technical network/systems/security concepts, latest software tools and technologies, strong database concepts and designing techniques.

  • You have good knowledge of different software systems, client/server architectures and various compatibility requirements.

  • You have good knowledge of Unified Communications and VoIP technology.

  • You have experience in troubleshooting and ability to understand and implement business and client requirements.

  • You are eager to learn and ensure that your knowledge of the various technologies is kept up-to-date.

  • You are a manager at heart and can communicate well and effectively with teams and clients.

  • You have the ability to understand project requirements, coordinate with resources and direct the projects in the right direction in a timely manner

  • You can manage and administer change and effectively pass on the information down the line to concerned teams for smoother execution

  • You can efficiently Delegate and allocate responsibilities efficiently to manage projects end to end

  • You can effectively lead teams and inspire others to achieve goals through innovation, quality and excellence

  • You have resource management skills and ability to handle complex / sensitive issues

  • You know how to encourage team interaction, boost employee motivation and appreciate team contribution

  • You have the ability to match project tasks with opportunities for development so that employee potential is utilized to the maximum

  • In addition, we think it goes without saying that you have a fluent and operational knowledge of Dutch or French and English
