Solution Architect

For our  client leader in the Belgian automotive sector we are looking for a Solution Architect ( ArchiMate, FR / EN  )

The role

• You establish and propose an optimal IT architecture solution taking into account the predefined IT strategy,  architecture standards, the needs of the organization and the tools available preferably in the company or on the Market.

• You implement approved IT architecture projects and optimize data exchange between internal and external applications to ensure efficient and continuous operation of applications and systems.

• You ensure effective communication between the various stakeholders and departments

• Translate organizational requirements into processes, applications, data and technology.

• Present and defend the solution plan and finalize it based on the changes required in order to achieve projects that meet the content and form requirements and that are in line with  the company IT strategy.

• Establish and update the application architecture, the data architecture, the integration architecture, the technical architecture that responds to user requests and ensure the exhaustiveness of the applications and systems used in order to provide an adequate response to customer needs and concerns.

• Collaborate closely with business teams and IT teams, to explain and support an IT solution for a project or an architectural concept.

• Monitor the completion of approved projects in his / her area (s) by ensuring that they remain consistent with the established IT strategy while adapting the documentation to the change brought about by the life of the project.

• Refer to other solution architects when a project crosses several areas

 • Validate, update, write and make available to employees the documentation concerning new architectural systems, procedures and working methods and help them to use the documentation created in an adequate manner in order to guarantee the efficient functioning of the department as well as correct practices.

• Act as an expert within his specialization, study trends and market developments within this field and solve complex problems in order to use the knowledge acquired in an optimal way.

• Participate in the development of a project schedule in collaboration with the solution delivery teams in order to carry out the desired project according to a timing, a budget (resources) and objectives set in advance

• Ensure optimal communication with the parties involved (internally and externally)

• Identify the risks of blocking, interdependencies / conflicts / adhesions between requests

Profile

•  Master in IT  or equivalent by experience

• Extensive professional experience (min 5-6 years) ideally in the automotive , logistics or related fields

• Expertise in IT architecture with ideally knowledge of ArchiMate & I Server

• Knowledge / experience in Finance (SAP) and / or Data / BI is an asset

• Ability to quickly learn and master new technologies

• Solution oriented, good analytical skills, critical / logical mind

• Curious, collaborative, creative, organized and assertive

• Very good knowledge of French &  English  (oral / written) and knowledge of Dutch   (oral / written)
