Functional and Technical Tester

As a tester, you are in charge of checking that the developed software operates as expected, on both technical and functional level. You support the other members of the software design and delivery team by bringing your expertise. You are responsible for functional and non-functional testing, endto-end testing with external partners, from integration to qualification as well as end user support for acceptance testing. You also play a role in the continuous improvement effort of testing processes and the implementation of quality assurance. You will report to the Software Team Leader and work in close contact with functional analysts, developers and engineers within our operations department.

You want to : 

  • To define the test strategy ;
  • To review business requests and analysis documents ;
  • To create test cases, scenarios and plans ; and to execute them;
  • To follow up on defects and issues ;
  • To write test reports ;
  • To automate test cases by using different tools depending on technologies and needs ;
  • To support the involved teams ;
  • To improve processes and test deliverables ;
  • To assist your team in the estimation of the test effort and test plan required for projects ;
  • To participate to third line support in case of production incidents.

You have...

  • A bachelor’s degree or above ;
  • Total work experience of 5 years, of which a minimum 3 years of relevant experience in software testing ;
  • Knowledge of test processes and methodologies ;
  • Experience in testing Java services, web services, soap, REST, proxy services and open standards such as XML, XSD, WSDL ;
  • Competences in SQL;
  • Knowledge of automation tools such as e.g. ReadyAPI, Katalon, Xray, HP Quality Center, SOAPUI, … ;
  • Knowledge of groovy script is an asset o Knowledge of the following tools : Jira, Confluence, Git, Bitbucket
  • Experience with Agile projects is a must;
  • ISTQB certification is an asset.

You are...

  • A team player at ease with sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues ;
  • Fluent in French and Dutch (passive knowledge of the other language is really a must) and English.
