Functional Analyst

Context:

As a Functional Analyst, you will work as a member of the "Quote to Provisioning" Tribe within the "Core Systems" division and, more specifically, you will be assigned to one of the Squads SalesForce/Cloudsense or Digital Marketing. These agile teams are responsible for the analysis and development of multiple applications from the Marketing, Loyalty or CRM domains within Proximus like Eloqua Marketing Automation Platform, Unica Campaign, Customer Value Management, Communication DataStore, Reward Fulfilment, SalesForce, Cloudsense CPQ, …

As a functional analyst, you are responsible for translating IT and business needs into functional specifications.

On a project basis, you also look for creative solutions. You provide clear, structured documentation for users as well as developers and testers. You give colleagues and users the necessary functional support. You are stress-resistant and you participate to the Agile ceremonies and you collaborate with the Product Owner of your Squad by assisting him/her in the prioritization, in the Product Backlog management and in the Users Stories writing.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • You take the leading role in functional analysis of projects and enhancements.
  • You acquire a good understanding of the business requirements and processes, in order to translate these into a robust solution design.
  • You look for creative and simple solutions and you provide clear, structured documentation for the users, as well for the development teams and testers.
  • You make project estimates and identify impact on IT infrastructure by collaborating with your Squad members.
  • You are responsible for the follow-up of the projects assigned to you and you ensure together with the Product Owner and your Squad members a correctly and timely project delivery.
  • You explain the solution to the development team and guide them through the development cycle.
  • You report on the status of your projects to the project team and identify potential risks.
  • You provide support to the operations team in case of major incidents.

Your profile:

  • You have a bachelor or master degree (preferably in an IT related domain) or equivalent by experience.
  • You have profound experience in analysis in a complex IT environment.
  • You have knowledge about up-to-date analysis methodologies like use case modelling (e.g. UML), data modelling, Design Patterns, etc
  • You can be also assigned to an important role of "Subject Matter Expert" of "Business Capabilities" requiring some knowledge of data modelling design tools
  • You have a hands-on experience in agile development principles & methodologies (Scrum, SAFE, …) and in DevOps principles (CI/CD), automated test & build.
  • You have knowledge in the web technologies like Microservices and API's, CRUD Operations, SOA, REST, SOAP, RDBMS, etc.
  • Functional knowledge of the domain and used platforms as well as a basic knowledge of tools like XML Spy, IBM RSA, Visio, Postman, SOAP UI, PL/SQL Developer, Collibra are considered as an asset.
  • You are analytical and assertive, customer- and solution-oriented.
  • You are optimistic, flexible, creative with an open mind.
  • Customer and Tribe/Squad centricity are part of your nature.
  • You value communication and collaboration with others inside your agile team but also outside.
  • You have a learning attitude.
  • Good knowledge of English is mandatory (both oral and written). French and/or Dutch is an advantage.
