Positioning of the job

• Proximus Group Finance has decided to further invest in finance transformation by upstaffing its transformation office with the objective to gear up the implementation of its ambitious 3-year roadmap.
• We are looking for Finance Business transformation manager - Data Scientist profile to drive the implementation of key projects focused on IT, process and data.

Role description and responsibilities

• You participate, on the financial side, in the collection/definition of requirements for the FIN transformation roadmap and interact with business and technical teams for the implementation of those up to deployment and adoption by the teams.
   
• More specifically, you actively participate in the implementation of financial projects related to the Controlling activity, as a project manager/project lead. The most important projects in your field will be the implementation of a digital reporting environment and the financial data centre.

• In collaboration with the FIN Transformation team, you will ensure the implementation of data initiatives within the Group's finance department, making sure that data handling is efficient and effective for all FIN and Proximus stakeholders. In this context, you will:
  • Translate and challenge Finance's data and reporting needs.
  • Work closely with the Financial Controllers (collecting and understanding their needs, proposing the solution, validating the result, training and user support).
  • You structure and organize the data according to an adequate architecture open to future evolutions, in order to give easy access to all data useful for financial analysis, based on Best Practices in the use of Business Intelligence tools. You bring your know-how in terms of visualization and ease of use of these tools by Top management, and Self-Service reporting for the Business, (back-end/front-end development in Microstrategy), based on existing and future financial databases.
  • The function will require a flexible and grow mindset, open to the use and learning of various tools (Azure, Microstrategy, Power BI, TM1, Colibra, ...) and to the progressive implementation of Transformation initiatives.
  • Actively participate in the implementation of part of the FIN data logic model and Finance Controlling master data, and maintain them following the standards defined by the central data governance team
  • Interface towards the central data governance team for the data glossary and report catalogue, as well as the interface towards the financial data and report owners.

Qualification/Experience

• You have a master degree in Economics/Finance and/or Computer Science/Mathematics/Statistics or relevant experience in Finance and/or analyst (IT/BI) or data science.
• Proven and relevant experience in transformation initiatives, including IT deployment, business process management and financial data management is an advantage.
• Ability to grasp business processes, manage ambiguity, and find pragmatic solutions by reducing problems to their core and using creative and conceptual reasoning
• You have strong analytical skills and you are able to understand the impact of data in achieving business objectives and to translate them into concrete data needs and actions.
• Knowledge of BI and reporting tools (Microstrategy, PowerBI), as well as SQL, big data and cloud technologies.
• Solid planning, priority setting, and time-management skills
• Your oral/written communication is excellent & balanced with assertiveness & respect
• Analytical mindset, you are constructive and pragmatic when solving problems
• You are a true team-player and able to work collaboratively with all stakeholders
• You are autonomous, efficient and organized and you can respect deadlines
• You are result driven, initiative taker, stress resistant and flexible
• You have a learning attitude and an open mindset
• You are fluent in French, Dutch and English
