Application Analyst

Within our client’s Operations Department, the Facility Security Management Team is responsible, among other things, for the follow-up of Safety & Security. More and more security & safety platforms are being managed by new and ongoing projects. To support this correctly, there is a need for an additional application analyst.

  • You will be responsible for the technical development, planning and maintenance of the infrastructure to guarantee the continuity and efficiency of the security & safety systems according to our client’s needs;
  • You will manage the different applications in the field of Safety and Security;
  • You will evaluate the environment to define upgrades, changes and extensions and put forward improvement proposals;
  • You will perform feasibility studies and evaluate different software and hardware solutions that can meet the needs of the infrastructure so that management can choose the most optimal solution;
  • You will inform and guide users to ensure that the systems are used optimally and efficiently;
  • You will draft technical design in line with specific architecture requirements;
  • You will carry out changes, upgrades and extensions to software and hardware in order to always have techniques and possibilities that best meet user needs, to realize new projects or expand existing systems;
  • You will provide the necessary support and maintenance on IT infrastructure in accordance with the ITIL methodology;
  • You will participate in an 'On call' service to guarantee optimal availability, and you will act as SPOC within your area of â��â��expertise;
  • You will provide technical advice and information to internal and external customers to allow them to make an accurate assessment of the technical possibilities and limitations based on the technology stack used;
  • You will think critically about possible improvements in procedures and working methods within projects and within your own department;
  • You will keep your knowledge up to date in your field and exchange this knowledge and your experience with colleagues;
  • You will keep up-to-date and expand the available documentation.

Profile Description

  • You have at least Bachelor's degree or you are equivalent by relevant professional experience;
  • You have at least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position;
  • You have knowledge of Microsoft Infrastructure Stack (OS, virtualization & management toolset), at least basic knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, VLAN, Loadbalancing, and you have general knowledge of databases : MS-SQL, Oracle and MySQL;
  • You have good knowledge of ITIL Minded Service Management;
  • You are interested in building related software (domotics)
  • Having knowledge of physical security & safety hardware (burglary, access control, camera surveillance, fire detection, ...) is an asset;
  • You have an analytical and critical mind, you take responsibility for your tasks;
  • You are customer-oriented, you are enterprising and you have a sense of initiative;
  • You are able to work autonomously and accurately;
  • You are communicative and you can express yourself fluently in Dutch and French, you have at least some basic knowledge of English.
